(April 15/15) British Columbia will not accept new Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applications from April 1 to July 1. Existing applications will continue to be processed. Additional PNP staff will help reduce the application backlog created by the federal government’s changes to immigration and the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) programs.
The government will use these 90 days to determine how to improve the application process and program criteria, with input from Restaurants Canada. Currently, 46 per cent of B.C. PNP applications are from the restaurant industry. If you have ideas on how to improve the B.C. PNP application process and program criteria, contactRestaurants Canada’s Mark von Schellwitz.
