About the Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival
What started as a one day shellfish event in 1996 to celebrate the Island’s shellfish industry quickly became a four-day jam-packed festival attracting visitors from around the world year after year.

While showcasing the Island’s renowned shellfish of mussels, oysters, and lobster, the event also provides chefs and shuckers a unique opportunity to display their impressive culinary skills by participating in fierce culinary competitions, live cooking demos, and roof-raising kitchen parties with some of Canada’s favourite bands.

Celebrity chefs Lynn Crawford and Michael Smith of Food Network Canada will host the weekend’s festivities this year.
