(Jul. 17/13) The City of Calgary is considering a permanent food truck bylaw based on its 2011 pilot project. CRFA used our position on food trucks to provide feedback during the City’s public consultation period in early June. We will present our views on the policy to the Calgary City Council Standing Policy Committee on Planning and Urban Development on Sept. 6, before it goes before the full council for deliberation.

About the pilot project
In August 2011, the City initiated a pilot project where 43 food trucks were allowed in Calgary under certain restrictions on zones of operation, proximity to restaurants and hours of operation.
