The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Corporation (AGLC) is offering more flexible liquor service hours during the Calgary Stampede.
During the Stampede, July 7 to 16, all Calgary Class A, B and C licensees can start liquor service at 8 a.m. Licensees don’t need to apply for this extension. Closing hours for liquor service remain the same, as do other rules on service. Licensees are still expected to offer service in a socially responsible way so patrons are safe during these special hours.
Restaurants and bars on the parade route can request early liquor service for 7 a.m. for the Parade Day of July 7. Businesses that will host private special events can also submit requests for extended hours if they would like to open before 8 a.m.
