Cette mesure, b\u00e9n\u00e9fique tant pour les consommateurs que pour les restaurateurs, pourrait revitaliser une industrie encore fragilis\u00e9e par les impacts de la pand\u00e9mie et contrer les disparit\u00e9s fiscales qui nuisent aux \u00e9tablissements qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans la r\u00e9gion de l&rsquo;Outaouais, cette situation est particuli\u00e8rement pr\u00e9occupante. Si le Qu\u00e9bec ne supprime pas la TVQ sur les repas en restaurant, de nombreux consommateurs risquent de traverser la rivi\u00e8re pour profiter des all\u00e8gements fiscaux disponibles \u00e0 Ottawa, entra\u00eenant une perte de client\u00e8le et de revenus pour les entreprises locales. \u00c0 ce moment-ci, les consommateurs verront leur facture diminuer de 13% en Ontario, mais seulement de 5% au Qu\u00e9bec, cr\u00e9ant un d\u00e9savantage majeur pour les restaurateurs Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab Nos restaurateurs jouent un r\u00f4le essentiel dans la vitalit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique et sociale de nos communaut\u00e9s \u00e0 travers le Qu\u00e9bec. Le gouvernement ne doit pas abandonner l\u2019Outaouais, il doit agir rapidement pour prot\u00e9ger la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 des restaurateurs pour la r\u00e9gion \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Maximilien Roy, Vice-pr\u00e9sident f\u00e9d\u00e9ral et pour le Qu\u00e9bec chez Restaurants Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La restauration est un moteur \u00e9conomique cl\u00e9 pour le Qu\u00e9bec, g\u00e9n\u00e9rant des milliers d\u2019emplois et contribuant de mani\u00e8re significative au tissu social des communaut\u00e9s. Pourtant, les pressions \u00e9conomiques, l\u2019inflation et les co\u00fbts op\u00e9rationnels accrus continuent de poser des d\u00e9fis majeurs aux restaurateurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abolir la TVQ sur les repas en restaurant pourrait :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Stimuler la consommation locale<\/strong> : En rendant les repas plus abordables, les consommateurs seraient encourag\u00e9s \u00e0 soutenir les restaurants de leur r\u00e9gion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Renforcer la comp\u00e9titivit\u00e9 des restaurants qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois<\/strong> : Cette mesure aiderait \u00e0 maintenir les consommateurs au Qu\u00e9bec, r\u00e9duisant l\u2019impact des disparit\u00e9s fiscales interprovinciales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Soutenir les emplois locaux<\/strong> : En augmentant l\u2019achalandage, les restaurants pourraient conserver et m\u00eame cr\u00e9er davantage d\u2019emplois.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Restaurants Canada demande une action rapide pour \u00e9viter que les restaurateurs qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois ne soient d\u00e9savantag\u00e9s par rapport \u00e0 leurs homologues d\u2019autres provinces et pour s\u2019assurer que les consommateurs restent fid\u00e8les \u00e0 leurs commerces locaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u00c0 propos de Restaurants Canada<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Restaurants Canada est une association nationale qui repr\u00e9sente les entreprises du secteur de la restauration et des services alimentaires.
