The winners will be honoured at Restaurants Canada\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/onetable.restaurantscanada.org\/#\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">One Table<\/a> inaugural industry dinner in Toronto on September 16<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The 2025 award recipients&nbsp;are:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Legacy Award<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong><strong>\u2013 Cora Tsouflidou, Founder, Cora Breakfast &amp; Lunch<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong>for building one of Canada\u2019s most beloved breakfast chains and paving the way for women entrepreneurs in hospitality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Leadership Award<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong><em>presented by PepsiCo Canada<\/em><em> <\/em><strong>\u2013 Julie Denton, Chief People &amp; Technology Officer at Recipe Unlimited Corporation<\/strong>, for leading transformational change through people-first strategies and digital innovation at Canada&rsquo;s largest full-service restaurant group. Recipe Unlimited is a business of and about people\u2014both customers and employees\u2014are the key ingredient to success.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Culinary Award<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong><em>presented by Garland Canada<\/em><strong> <\/strong><strong>\u2013 Chef Chris Commandant, National Arts Centre &amp; Ontario Director and Secretary of the Indigenous Culinary of Associated Nations (ICAN)<\/strong>\u202ffor championing Indigenous culinary traditions and raising the profile of Indigenous cuisine on national stages.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Emerging Leader Award<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong><strong>\u2013 Chef Nick Chindamo, Naturalist &amp; Wild Food Educator, The Inn at Bay Fortune<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong>for redefining farm-to-table through wild food education, sustainability, and a deep respect for nature from the grounds of PEI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social Impact Award<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong><strong>\u2013 La Tabl<\/strong><strong>\u00e9e des Chefs<\/strong><strong>\u202f<\/strong>for recovering over 2.8 million surplus portions in 2024 through its Food Recovery program and fostering food autonomy and social inclusion for thousands of youths via Kitchen Brigades and Solidarity Kitchens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Environmental Stewardship Award of Recognition<\/strong> <em>presented by Enbridge<\/em> <strong>\u2013 A&amp;W Canada<\/strong>\u202ffor championing sustainability through its national food rescue partnership with Second Harvest (donating 1.24 million meals and preventing 4.8 million pounds of GHG emissions), innovations like the A&amp;W One Cup reusable cup program and regenerative agriculture initiatives with ALUS. Since 2013, A&amp;W has served beef raised without artificial hormones or steroids. Now, all their beef is also 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, meaning cattle graze only on grass and forage throughout their adult lives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched in 2017, the Restaurants Canada Awards of Excellence recognize and celebrate outstanding individuals and organizations making meaningful contributions to Canada\u2019s foodservice industry. Winners are selected by their peers for demonstrating leadership, culinary excellence, environmental stewardship, and social impact. Past recipients have leveraged the honour to elevate their platforms, expand their impact, and inspire change across the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe foodservice industry is fundamentally about delivering an experience and value through care, service, and community impact.
