Our mission is to help foodservice businesses succeed through advocacy, resources, and signature events like the RC Show \u2014 Canada\u2019s largest foodservice and hospitality event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Position Overview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for a <strong>dynamic and organized Volunteer Coordinator <\/strong>to join our team for the 2026 RC Show. This role offers hands-on experience in event management, volunteer coordination, and building connections with Ontario post-secondary institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Volunteer Coordinator will recruit, train, and manage volunteers, and support the expansion of the volunteer program for 2026. The role is <strong>in-office 3 days a week <\/strong>(Tuesday\u2013Thursday) with additional hours as needed. Full availability <strong>March 6\u201310, 2026 <\/strong>at The International Centre is required for volunteer training and event days. The role reports to the Event Registration &amp; Programming Coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Volunteer Recruitment<\/strong><br>\u2022 Visit campuses to promote the volunteer program to students<br>\u2022 Leverage connections with post-secondary institutions to encourage participation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program Expansion<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Conduct outreach to new programs and institutions to grow the volunteer program<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Volunteer Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Coordinate schedules and assignments to ensure event areas are staffed<br>\u2022 Maintain accurate volunteer records and serve as primary contact for inquiries<br>\u2022 Ensure all waivers and emergency contacts are collected<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Training and Orientation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Host training sessions and provide materials for volunteer scheduling software<br>\u2022 Schedule specialty training with internal and external team members<br>\u2022 Provide orientation materials and event overview to volunteers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Event Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Assist with on-site coordination, ensuring volunteers perform duties effectively<br>\u2022 Troubleshoot issues and provide support as needed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Post-Event Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Collect volunteer feedback and provide recommendations<br>\u2022 Recognize and thank volunteers, including providing participation certificates<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Post-secondary graduate, preferably in Event Management, Hospitality, PR, Communications, or related field<br>\u2022 Excellent organizational and time management skills<br>\u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication abilities<br>\u2022 Able to work independently and in a team<br>\u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)<br>\u2022 Experience in volunteer management or event coordination is an asset<br>\u2022 Must be available in-person March 6\u201310, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr
