By Chris Elliott, Senior Economist (Nov. 12/14) Capped by a solid 1.5% growth in August over July, monthly sales at full-service restaurants grew for eight months in a row for the first time since Statistics Canada began publishing seasonally adjusted data in 1998. This new record surpasses the previous six-month stretch of continuous sales growth in 2006.
