(Feb. 19/16) B.C has balanced its budget for the fourth year in a row with a 2015-16 surplus of $377 million and a forecast surplus of $264 million in 2016-17. In addition, the province is creating a new Prosperity Fund, with the goal to pay off its deficit by 2020.

How does this budget directly impact you and your business? B.C. will add $8 million a year over the next three years to fund youth trade training. They have also confirmed there are no changes to the provincial sales tax exemption for restaurants, and there are no new business taxes. Good news all around!
