Atlantic Canada minimum wages to increase April 1

(Mar 24/17) The four governments of Atlantic Canada (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, P.E.I., and Newfoundland and Labrador) have agreed to co-ordinate the timing of their annual minimum wage increases. On April 1, 2017, the minimum wages will increase as follows:

Nova Scotia

General rate: $10.85

Inexperienced Worker: $10.35

 

New Brunswick

$11.00

 

P.E.I.

$11.25

 

Newfoundland and Labrador        

$10.75

$11.00 (effective Oct. 1, 2017)
