About the red tape reduction initiative
The federal government launched the Red Tape Reduction Commission in 2011 to reduce the burden of regulatory requirements on Canadian enterprises, especially small- and medium-sized businesses. The first phase of consultation with Restaurants Canada members identified irritants experienced by small businesses when dealing with the government.

Members can direct questions to Restaurants Canada’s Rick Hall at 1-800-387-5649 ext. 4222 (toll-free) or rhall@restaurantscanada.org.

Survey respondents can also contact the goverment directly through the CRA’s Fran Henderson at 613-957-7843 or fran.henderson@cra-arc.gc.ca.
