P.E.I. is now allowing alcohol to be sold with delivery

Published October 1, 2020

Acting on the recommendation of Restaurants Canada, the Prince Edward Island Liquor Control Commission has made changes to the Package Sales License to allow alcohol to be sold with meals for delivery. Previously alcohol was only allowed to be sold for takeout or curbside pick-up.

These provisions are currently set to expire on Dec. 31, 2020 and Restaurants Canada continues to advocate that they be permanently continued. Allowing licensees to sell alcohol for off-site consumption was a key ask in our 2019 Raise the Bar report.
