(Jan. 13/15) Restaurants Canada urges the B.C. government to end minimum wage uncertainty. We joined forces with other small business groups to ask that future increases be linked to inflation.

Last fall, Minister Shirley Bond met with us to discuss job creation and the labour shortage, including the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). At this meeting, she sought our input on minimum wage. Restaurants Canada worked with other employer associations to come up with a unified recommendation. We met again with the minister in December to recommend linking minimum wage increases to inflation.
