By Chris Elliott, Senior Economist (Jun. 25/13) The restaurant and accommodation sector had 24,200 job vacancies in March, up from 22,400 a year ago, according to Statistics Canada. Only health care and social assistance reported more job vacancies at 37,000. In recent months, healthy job creation in many sectors across the country is making it more challenging for restaurateurs to find adequate staff.
