Hiring a refugee has turned a once-struggling bakery around. Since hiring Ruwad Al Badin to create artisan pastries, Julien’s Bakery in Nova Scotia has increased production and sales, which means layoffs for the other employees are no longer a threat.

Ruwad is thankful for the confidence of his employers, while they are thankful for his skills – a true win-win situation.
