(Jul. 28/14) The impact of the federal government’s recent changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) program was clear at two Restaurants Canada member round tables with Progressive Conservative leadership candidates, Ric McIver and Thomas Lukaszuk, held in Calgary and Edmonton.
Both discussions touched on liquor issues, but members focused on asking the candidates what they would do as Premier to help alleviate Alberta’s growing foodservice labour shortage in light of the revised TFW program.
Restaurants Canada is finalizing a round table with the third leadership candidate Jim Prentice, and will let members know when this date is confirmed.
