Last chance to stop your alcohol taxes from rising

Published June 2, 2017

Dear Restaurant and Bar Operator,

Thanks to your efforts, momentum is building to stop the annual increase in excise tax on alcohol. We need to step up our efforts and make sure concerned Canadians make their voices heard before it’s too late.

This has to happen quickly. The government wants to finish discussing the budget bill soon. We need your participation now!

What you need to do

Visit https://corkthetax.ca/ now to send your message to your Member of Parliament. All you have to do is:

  • Click on “Tell your MP to #CorkTheTax.”
  • Enter your contact information.
  • Click on the tab “Which best describes you.”

A letter will be automatically sent to your MP and the Minister of Finance. It’s that easy.

Spread the word

We also need you to encourage your employees, co-workers, customers and friends to spread the word on social media using the hashtag #CORKTHETAX.

Learn more about the issue and what we’ve done to fight back.

If you have any questions, contact me at jreynolds@restaurantscanada.org.

Thanks for participating!
