(May 29/13) Consumers and restaurateurs narrowly missed a strike by Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) employees on May 17. However, the fact that Ontarians were even placed in this position of uncertainty highlights the need to modernize the LCBO’s business practices.
CRFA used this opportunity to call for change in the province’s outdated system of selling and distributing wine, beer and spirits. We issued a press release and were interviewed or quoted by various media outlets, including CBC Radio, Newstalk 1010, National Post, Toronto Sun, and the Wall Street Journal.
