Tipping is one of the most complex issues facing the restaurant industry. Tipping regimes are as varied as the restaurants in our industry. Controlled tips, customer-facing versus back-of-house staff, taxation, source deductions and myriad other factors complicate the issue.

Industry breakfast with MPP Arthur Potts 
Restaurants Canada has organized a discussion with MPP Arthur Potts, who is pushing the current tipping legislation before the Ontario government. Mr. Potts is a restaurateur and newly-elected member of the Ontario Liberal government. He will join us at a breakfast meeting on Nov. 25 to discuss his bill and other government initiatives.
