(Aug. 12/14) Measurement Canada has changed the Weights and Measures Act to require certain measuring devices be inspected regularly in eight trade sectors, effective Aug. 1, 2014. Three of the eight sectors have a direct connection to our industry – dairy, retail food, and grain and field crops. Foodservice is exempt at this time, however, additional sectors may be included in the future. Restaurants Canada will monitor any developments and keep members informed.
