(Feb. 19/16) Want to donate leftover food to a local food bank or charity? You’ll find everything you need to know in a new publication, Industry Food Donation Guidelines, available on the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) website.
It answers many questions you may have, including:

  • How can I start and manage a food donation program?
  • What foods are suitable for donation?
  • What about risk and liability?

Industry Food Donation Guidelines is available on the BCCDC website. Choose the ‘Donation Guidelines’ tab, and scroll to ‘Industry Food Donation Guidelines.’
