(Oct. 29/14) The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking consultation on proposed changes to Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, including general regulations and the operation of workplace safety committees and representatives mandatory for all businesses in the province.

Restaurants Canada is particularly concerned with changes to hearing protection requirements, and the proposal for up to 21 hours of mandatory training for safety committee members.

Read the proposed regulations.

Restaurants Canada urges members to participate in the review and share their views with Luc Erjavec atlerjavec@restaurantscanada.org.
