New “Serve It Right” training starts June 30. Are you ready?

Published June 28, 2017

(June 29/17) Restaurants Canada reminds Saskatchewan members that June 30 marks the start of the next phase of Serve It Right Saskatchewan (SIRS) responsible liquor service training. Here are the deadlines you need to know:

June 30, 2017 – As of this date, at least one person on each shift must have completed Serve It Right training.

June 30, 2018 – By now, all employees involved in the sale and service of alcohol must have completed Serve It Right training.

These dates follow the provincial government’s announcement in June 2015 to phase in mandatory Serve It Right training over three years.

Compliance

Liquor permittees may be required to show proof of compliance via a list of employees who have completed SIRS training. Get your SIRS Compliance Form courtesy of Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority to help with record-keeping.
