(Nov. 27/13) As advocated by CRFA, Labour Minister Darin King is ignoring the minimum wage committee’s recommendation to hike the province’s hourly wage by 30 cents this year. Instead, the government plans to raise the minimum wage by 25 cents to $10.25 in October 2014, and to $10.50 in October 2015.

CRFA is pleased the wage increases will be more in line with other economic indicators. However, we are disappointed that tip or training differentials have not been introduced.
