(Feb. 12/13) Following recommendations of the Minimum Wage Review Committee, Nova Scotia will increase its general minimum wage by 15 cents to $10.30, effective April 1, 2013. Since 2012, government has linked minimum wage increases to the Consumer Price Index.
Training wage differential survives
CRFA successfully lobbied government to maintain the training wage differential, despite pressure from organized labour to eliminate it. The training wage will increase to $9.80 on April 1.
