(Nov. 12/14) The Government of P.E.I. is reviewing the province’s minimum wage, with a recommendation expected in early 2015.

Restaurants Canada is pushing the province to:

  • keep the wage in line with other economic indicators;
  • introduce a tip differential to recognize the significant income earned by liquor servers; and
  • introduce a training differential to recognize the cost of training inexperienced employees.
