Starting on April 1, 2016 the PEI Public Health Act Food Premises Regulations requires the following:
- License holders must complete a recognized food hygiene training program.
- License holders must also ensure that when they’re absent, at least one employee on the premises has completed a recognized food hygiene training program.
The PEI Department of Health and Wellness offers training for $50 per person (including materials).
A grace period of six months gives you and your staff until Oct. 1 to take the training.
