(Sept. 23/14) Restaurants Canada presented its first official chef jacket to Premier Robert Ghiz on Sept. 11. We recognized Premier Ghiz’s leadership in introducing licensee wholesale liquor pricing and the off-sale of beverage alcohol from the Island’s restaurants. However, we expressed concern with the province’s support for an expanded public pension plan that would mean added costs for small businesses.
We also told the Premier about our new partnership program with Holland College that gives graduates from several tourism and hospitality programs an edge in their search for employment. Read more about our ‘’ program.
