(Feb. 12/13) CRFA is reminding all B.C. members to prepare for the transition from the harmonized sales tax (HST) to the provincial sales tax (PST) on April 1.
How to prepare
The B.C. Ministry of Finance is providing seminars to assist operators with the transition. Click here to access the seminars.

What this change means
The transition to PST means a seven per cent cut in sales taxes on restaurant meals – which will fuel stronger sales growth in 2013 as meals become more affordable, and $2 billion in disposable income is free to circulate in B.C.’s economy.
This victory for operators follows years of CRFA fighting to topple the HST.
