(Nov. 3/16) Last November, Restaurants Canada released Raise the Bar, a report card on provincial liquor rules for restaurants and bars. Provinces were graded on licensee pricing, how well their rules helped the foodservice industry deliver good service and a positive customer experience, and government’s willingness to work with our industry. Alberta earned the highest grade with B+, while Newfoundland and Labrador scored the lowest, getting an F.
Since then, Restaurants Canada has used this report card to encourage governments to reduce barriers for licensees and make it simpler to serve their guests.
