(Nov. 27/13) Good news for members! The Immigration and Cultural Communities Minister Diane De Courcy has put aside the controversial Bill 14 that aimed to toughen the Charter of the French language. One of this bill’s measures was to reinforce the use of French in workplaces with 26 to 49 employees. It had generated a huge media uproar known as “pastagate,” where a restaurant was ordered to remove the word “pasta” and other common terminology from its menu.
