(Feb. 10/15) Restaurants Canada presented Premier Paul Davis with a chef jacket last month and spoke with him about the importance of our industry when it comes to jobs, tourism and investment. We took the opportunity to discuss our members’ concerns with liquor policies and wholesale pricing, as well as the labour shortage. We also warned him of the consequences of raising the HST.

In a follow-up letter, Premier Davis recognized the value of our industry and members, as well as the work Restaurants Canada does. Read theletter from Premier Davis.

Restaurants Canada also discussed these issues in a separate meeting with Finance Minister Ross Wiseman.
