Frozen in Time Ltd: Frozen in Time Ltd. (Markland Cottage Winery) produces high quality, premium berry wines and spirits (liqueurs, brandies and vodka), hand crafted with care. Although we produce a variety of berry wines, our flagship wine is wild blueberry (Vaccinium angustifolium). These low bush berries are wild and grow in a pesticide and pollution free environment. We were the first established winery in Newfoundland and Labrador and have the a commercial operating distillery. Our facilities are state of the art, embedded in our historical property. Our water is drawn from an artisan well is second to none in quality and purity, triple filtered and purified. We are committed to standards of quality by maintaining various certifications and following best management practices. In addition, our facilities are kosher-certified and our products are created using minimal processing and have no added sulphites. Ironberry Inc: Iron Berry is a manufacturer of berry powders without pesticides, chemicals or sulphites – our GMP and Kosher-certified production facility uses processes and technology that are at the very leading edge of innovative manufacturing and human technical and scientific capability. Industry leading unique cold air drying technology preserving 96% nutritional value/content. Iron Berry is a production of nutraceutical powders made from natural wild berries and chia seeds. Nutraceutical powders add value to the consumer through their ability to benefit health. Nutraceutical implies that the extract or food is demonstrated to have a physiological benefit or provide protection against chronic diseases. The global market for nutraceutical products is growing rapidly as consumers become aware of the opportunity to prevent chronic diseases through nutritional choices. The largest use for nutraceuticals is as an added food ingredient. The result is a food that can improve health. These are called functional foods. Functional foods are similar in appearance to, or may be, conventional foods that are consumed as part of a usual diet, and are demonstrated to have physiological benefits and/or reduce the risk of chronic disease beyond basic nutritional functions, i.e. they contain bioactive compound. Iron Berry has a unique combination of technical capability and human expertise allowing for the production of unique nutraceutical powders. The drying machine converts fresh wild flora into a fine powder which is stable at ambient temperatures. This dry powder maintains the bio active ingredients of the flora and is packaged and sold as an ingredient for nutraceutical foods and beverages. For our Berry Powder production we use a new technology called the Refractance Window Drier Technology. This is a new drying system, invented and developed in the US . The Refractance Window drying technology uses circulating water at atmospheric pressure to carry heat to the product to be dried. We do not use any chemicals and our Newfoundland Blueberries are 100% pesticide free. This Drying process retains the products color, flavor, aroma and 96% nutritional content. Along with Blueberry Powder, we can also produce varies other powders such as cranberry, black currant and seabuckthorn and we can also do a mix with chia seed. Our products shelf life is 2-3 years.
