(Sept. 22/14) The Government of Nova Scotia has committed to bring forward accessibility legislation, and is looking to the provinces of Manitoba and Ontario as guides. As part of this initiative, Restaurants Canada has been asked to participate on the Minister’s Advisory Panel on Accessibility Legislation.

The government plans to have enabling legislation next spring, which will allow it to develop regulations and service standards. Restaurants Canada will keep members informed of any accessibility rules that come into effect.
