The B.C. government is eager to work with you to help settle refugees in the province.
The Canada-B.C. Job Grant will help offset up to two-thirds of the training cost for refugees and new Canadians. If you’re willing to provide job-specific skills training for refugees, you can apply for up to $10,000 of government funding per person. This program began on Jan. 4, 2016, and the money will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The province is also working with the Immigrant Services Society of B.C. to track employment leads. Refugees offer a range of skills and experience, and we encourage you to register employment opportunities at: http://www.issbc.org/prim-corp-nav/our-work-with-refugees/refugee-crisis/how-can-i-help-refugees
