Open letter to Premier Pallister calling for commercial tenant protections

Restaurants Canada has joined forces with a coalition of industry allies to send an open letter to Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister calling for an immediate moratorium on commercial tenant evictions.

With June 1 only days away, pressure is once again mounting for small and medium-sized businesses to make their rent payments.

Restaurants Canada has joined forces with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, Retail Council of Canada, Manitoba Chambers of Commerce, and the Manitoba Restaurants & Food Service Association to call for temporary eviction protection for commercial tenants in Manitoba who were in good standing with their landlords prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
